Processing Purpose and Legal Basis

We only save your data to respond to requests, to fulfill and execute contracts and for our own advertising purposes. Processing is carried out on the basis of current data protection laws.

If you have a request, would like to receive an offer from us or would like to conclude a contract with us, we will process your personal data. Depending on the type of contract, this may include your surname, first name, address, email address, telephone/fax number, and, if applicable, your date/place of birth, bank details and VAT ID number. We will save and process this data in our customer management system to fulfill and execute contracts and for ourown advertising purposes. Your data will not be provided to other third parties.

Use of Cookies

Our website uses session cookies to make it easier for you to use our website. Session cookies are small text files saved on your hard disk for the duration of your visit on our website that, depending on your browser settings, will be deleted when you close your browser. Cookies can be disabled through your browser settings. Session cookies will be deleted automatically after you close your browser. Persistent cookies will not be deleted when you close your browser. 

Data Processing for Advertising Purposes

We only use your data for our own advertising purposes. We want to inform you about new products, our services and interesting events. We therefore also use your data to recommend certain products, services and events that might interest you in addition to your purchases. The assessment of your buying history and the sending of advertisements to existing customers by post or email will only be carried out for products and services of the Humboldt Wedag GmbH, taking your legitimate interest into account. Emails are only sent with your permission which you may revoke at any time.

Personal Data Recipients

Within what is legally permissible, your personal data will be disclosed to the following companies:

• Mail service providers, carriers, shipping companies, file/data disposal services
• IT service providers for maintenance and software support
• Providers of credit assessment, debt collection and dialog marketing services 

Data Storage Duration

We will save your data for as long as required for the respective purpose. Corresponding data deletion systems are available and permanently adjusted to legal and changed conditions.

If tax law requires storage periods for certain data that we process for the execution of purchase contracts (document data), the storage period will last 6 or 10 years. During this period, processing of the respective data will be limited. Such storage obligations will begin at the end of the calendar year in which the offer was submitted or the contract was fulfilled.

Advertisement Refusal

You may refuse to have your data used for advertising purposes without incurring costs other than the base-rate transfer fees. You may contact the above mentioned security officer to submit your refusal. 

Revocation of Permission

You may revoke your permission at any time for the processing of your personal data in the future. However, please note that any future purchase may require you to resubmit your data. 

Right to Object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data as performed under the following regulations and in line with your specific circumstances:

• Processing is required for the performance of a task that is in the public interest or through the exercise of public authority entrusted to the controller or
• Processing is required to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party if the interests or fundamental rights and basic freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the protection of the personal data, especially if the data subject is a child.

If you exercise your right to object, we will no longer process your personal data, unless we can provide reasons for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or if processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
